Lophie  *Young Love*

Members: Lok Lambert / Sophie Casterwill.

Couple status: Canon.

About it:

What Lok Lambert and Sophie Casterwill share was not love at first sight, but ended up being one of the most beloved couples of the show.

Even though the fandom is pretty sure Lok’s feelings for Sophie were clear the first moment he saw her, Sophie’s weren’t that sure at first.

She had a little crush on her teammate Dante in the beginning of Season 1, wich made her extremely jealous of Zhalia in various occasions. But it wasn't mutual, thank God, and it didn’t last long, anyways. She soon realized her feelings for that cute blond boy who was always beside her were so much stronger.

Almost everyone in the fandom ships Lophie.

Even though Lophie it’s considered “canon” since Season 1 Episode 23, in Season 1 Episode 21 Sophie reveals Lok her feelings for him in Atlantis. And we all knew he felt the same way.

It wasn’t until Season 1 Episode 23 when Lok tells Sophie how he feels, saying that they were from different worlds, like King Salomon and Queen Sheba, but he didn’t want them to end like that, “without having the chance...to be together” quoting the boy. We can all say our hearts melted in that scene.

After that they were inseparable, caring and worrying for each other. We can also see how strong they’re together fighting against The Professor in Season 1 Episode 26, after Zhalia stayed to help Dante. Lok takes care of Sophie when she’s too exhausted to fight.

The fandom asumed they had started a relationship in Season 2. They go everywhere together and worry about each other all the time (as usual), but in Season 2 Sophie also discovered what being a Casterwill meant and they both knew she needed time for her family and she wasn’t gonna let them down, as she explained to Lok on Season 2 Episode 19 and Lok also needed time in his own because he wanted to focus on finding his father. But she never stopped loving him, and he knew it. Lok supported her from the very beginning and he was always there for her no matter what until the very end.

Sophie also supported Lok so much on finding his father and never gave up on him. She always knew what to do to bring him up on his feet again when he broke down.

Season 2 Episode 24, before Dante confronted his fate, he said to Sophie, she had to help Lok to follow the steps of his father.

In Season 2 Episode 26 she really helped him and her family (the Casterwills) defeat The Betrayer and the Blood Spiral. But then Lok found out that all the times he thought he was talking to his father through his Holotome, he was really giving information to the Blood Spiral, because The Betrayer had tricked him.

His father meant everything to Lok.

He was so angry at him, he ended up destroying him with the help of Zhalia, Den, Harrison, the Huntik Foundation, the Casterwill family and (of course) Sophie.

They ended up saving the world alongside Dante (who returned from death after using copycat by Phoenix’s powers), Zhalia, Cherit and Den. And the way Zhante and them look at each other at the end of the episode is pure magic.

Both couples have so much chemistry.

They both have pretty important issues with Lok’s father being missing and Sophie’s parents being dead and their childhoods weren’t easy, but that’s actually what makes this couple even better: they know exactly how the other feels, so they always know just what to do or what to say to comfort the other.

They’re also lots of people’s OTP*

because they teach us that even though things doesn’t work out at first, that even if it isn’t love at first sight, you can still love someone unconditionally.

Their grow up is also amazing. In season 1 they’re a couple of dumb teenagers who didm’t known about love and in season 2 they were two mature people going through so much and working their mature relationship out somehow.

They have one daughter (Sofia Lambert) and, like Zhalia and Dante, they’re happily married. (Headcanon)
