Zhalia Moon and Dante Vale are two of the greatest seekers on earth. They also conform one of the main and most beloved Huntik ships (along with Lophie).

Zhalia Moon used to be a trained, cold hearted woman.

Dante Vale used to be a lone, professional seeker.

That was untill they met each other, of course. They turned each other’s world up side down and I’m going to tell you why.

Most of the fandom started to ship them on Season 1 Episode 10 when Dante gave Zhalia Defoe’s amulets and asked her to develop them to a safe base of the Huntik Foundation. Zhalia then admitted nobody had ever trust her to do something like that before. Due to this trust, Dante meant more to her than anything else in the world, as she later tells Sophie on Season 1 Episode 25.

But, oh no! On Season 1 Episode 13 we discovered that Zhalia was a spy working for the Organisation trying to get information out of Dante and the rest of the team to destroy them and the Huntik Foundation.

That mission was assigned by her foster father and also an important operative from the Organisation, Klaus, who picked her up from the streets of Amsterdam ,when she was only a little orphan and had no one who could take care of her, and decided to raise her as his own daughter. She was trained by the Organisation and became a powerful seeker. Klaus was like a father to her, so she couldn’t refuse when he told her about infiltrating the Huntik team. 

Although she was told many times by Klaus to kill Dante or to destroy the team, she couldn’t do it. She had found so much more love and understanding on that team than on anyone else.

In fact, she almost betrayed the team in Season 1 Episode 17 as she was told by Klaus. But when the time came, she didn’t do it, she joined Dante and the team to fight the Organisation and Klaus, turning him into stone by using King Basilisk’s powers. She chose Dante over the man who was like his father, the man who had raised her. She chose Dante because she found in Dante something that she didn’t find on anyone else: trust.

After the almost betrayal, she disappeared because she couldn’t forgive herself for what she had done, but she returned to Dante’s arms on Season 1 Episode 19, rescuing the team.

Zhante is considered “canon” since Season 1 Episode 20. In that episode, Zhalia’s Rotterdam apartment was blown up by some Organisation suits due to her betrayal against the Organisation.

Although she scaped, she ended up hurt badly and decided to go to Dante’s home in Venice, Italy.

Dante acts really worried and offers her his coat and a cup of tea to stay warm and safe.

Then there’s the ALMOST kiss, interrupted by Lok, of course (the fandom hated him for that). That would have been amazing, darlings.

Since that moment, their relationship becomes less private and more open. They don’t hide their feelings for each other anymore. They help each other through everything.

It’s in Season 1 Episode 26 when Zhalia stayed to proyect Dante in The Professor’s castle against some titans, because Dante’s been tricked by The Professor and was internally broken. She almost confessed her feelings for him there, when they were about to die, but Dante came to his senses and fought by her side. Together with Lok and Sophie destroyed the Organisation.

There aren’t many Zhante moments in Season 2 because Zhalia infiltrates inside the Blood Spiral as a spy to inform the Foundation about their planes  in Episode 35. We have a super cute Zhante scene in that episode, with Zhalia saying goodbye to Dante and them hugging and crying and Zhalia giving him the Logosbook, a pair of books where everything you write in one appears written on the other, so the other person you give the Logosbook can read it.

Or in Episode 30, when the mirror Kagami reflected King Basilik's power of turning things/people into stone, in Dante. When LeBlanche made the spell new life, and she could invoke Kin Basilik twice, she said "...I have to save Dante..." "...Worry, turn Dante back" (in the spanish version she said "...give me Dante back") 

Then, Dante dies heroically in Season 2 Episode 24, saving the world from the red comet.

When Zhalia found out about it, in Season 2 Episode 25, she broke down crying, revealing who she really was. She even fought The Betrayer on Dante’s name.

Dante retuned on Season 2 Episode 26 by copying the ancient Phoenix’s power and using it to come back to life.

The moment when he sees Zhalia and Zhalia sees him, there’s no one else in the world for them, nobody matters. Only them.

Zhante is many fans’ OTP (One True Pair) and their scenes are always very private and beautiful because of it. They show us that the most passionate feelings can be proven not only by a kiss or saying “I love you”, but by a word, a gesture or even a simple look...Those, those really make the difference. 

Their feelings for each other are so strong that they don’t even have to say anything for the other to know how they feel or what they need. They just do it.

They also complement each other so well in their fighting skills. One is stronger where the other is more weak, and they have showed us that many times.

They have one daughter (Dhalia Vale) and they’re happily married. (Headcanon)
